Do you prefer artificial Christmas trees or real trees? Real trees! My Grandpa Price used to have a Christmas Tree farm in Portland Oregon. We are a “noble fir or bust family.
When do you decorate your Christmas tree? Usually the week after Thanksgiving.
What is your favorite Christmas song? What makes it your favorite? Go Tell It On The Mountains, White Christmas, In The Bleak Midwinter, Oh Come All Ye Faithful.
What is your go-to holiday drink? Holiday Mimosa.
What is your favorite Christmas present that you have ever received? Not sure. I love the gift of watching my kids experience Christmas.
What were your Christmas traditions when you were younger? Pajamas on Christmas Eve and opening one present.
How have your Christmas celebrations changed since becoming an adult? Having kids at Christmas is the best ever. It is a joyful and generous time of year. I love the music, I love the decorations, and I love my people.
How will Christmas be different at your house this year be different this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic? Every year a band I am in called The Lower Lights performs big theater shows around Christmas. This year we are not performing due to COVID and I am heartbroken. The band has become a second family to be over the last decade and I will miss performing.
What is your favorite Christmas memory? I love watching the movie White Christmas with my kids every year.
How do you spend the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day? Usually eating leftovers and working.
How do you spend New Year’s Eve? With friends or family. Hopefully a dance party is included.
How will the pandemic impact your celebrations? Smaller dance party?
What do you typically eat on New Year’s Day? I don’t have a tradition of certain foods, but something delicious with candles lit.
