Do you prefer artificial Christmas trees or real trees? Real trees. You cannot beat the smell.

When do you decorate your Christmas tree? The moment it’s up!

What is your favorite Christmas song? What makes it your favorite? Darlene Love – Christmas or Hard Candy Christmas – Dolly Parton.

What is your go-to holiday drink? A nice full bodied cab!

What is your favorite Christmas present that you have ever received? Probably a tie-dye hoodie my mom got me the Christmas before she passed.

What were your Christmas traditions when you were younger? We always decorate the Christmas tree as a family. Especially my grandparents Christmas tree on my father’s side. We pick a date usually around Dec 16th and all gather at my grandparents and share a meal and talk about all the old ornaments and then when the tree is finished we will do a little caroling around it while we admire its majestic beauty.

How have your Christmas celebrations changed since becoming an adult? Less decorations in my house compared to my parents lol! But, I am slowly catching up!

How will Christmas be different at your house this year be different this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic? It will be over zoom so we can pretend we’re still together. I am sure I will still be with my dad but my family is huge, and not being able to see them is going to be tough. But I know we are doing it out of love and caution.

What is your favorite Christmas memory? My favorite Christmas memory is the same every year. Hearing my grandma play the piano and sing “Toyland” and “Silver and Gold” from the same Christmas Caroling book she has had since before I was born.

How do you spend the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day? It all seems to run together, doesn’t it? But we do end up celebrating my fathers birthday in there. Dec 29th! I feel like it is spent eating salad and drinking waster because my body is morally offended at the amount of feel good holiday food I’ve consumed!

How do you spend New Year’s Eve? I am honestly usually playing. This year, I just haven’t gotten that far in my life yet to tell you!

How will the pandemic impact your celebrations? The same as most, I would assume. Surrounded by only a close few and consuming good home cooked food. Facetime and Zoom will definitely be abused.

What do you typically eat on New Year’s Day? New Years Day has never been big to our family. Although, I do recall always trying to really think about what I want my intentions for the year to be. Seeing which way is best to start attacking my goals.

Do you have a New Year’s Resolution for 2021? To continue working on my grace and patience. And a few things on my dream board I’m working on manifesting. 🙂
