What was a typical Thanksgiving meal look like for your family? Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing… very traditional.
What were your Thanksgiving traditions when you were younger? We would always pass around a journal every year and write what we were thankful for inside; it’s very cool to look back on decades later.
How has your Thanksgiving celebration changed since you have become an adult? We’ve become less intense about football and got more into watching a few movies together as a family.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day memory? Visiting my grandparents who passed away.
What are you most thankful for this year? My family and my friends. It’s so important to surround yourself with people who genuinely care about you as much as you do them.
Do you prefer artificial Christmas trees or real trees? Definitely artificial because my Dad and I are severely allergic to real trees.
When do you decorate your Christmas tree? We used to do it right after Thanksgiving but my tour schedule got completely crazy. It’s now as soon as we can find a free night after the holiday.
What is your favorite Christmas song? What makes it your favorite? River by Joni Mitchell; it’s a masterpiece.
What is your go-to holiday drink? Spiked hot chocolate!
What is your favorite Christmas present that you have ever received? An electric guitar. Fender Telecaster made in the USA.
What were your Christmas traditions when you were younger? Cookies for Santa and making reindeer food.
How have your Christmas celebrations changed since becoming an adult? I’m more into cooking savory food rather than sweets nowadays.
What is your favorite Christmas memory? Sitting on top of the stairs Christmas morning waiting for my Dad to say I could come down to the presents.
How do you spend the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day? I spend a balance of time between friends and family. I love going out to the bars with friends around that week yet also chilling with my family at home.
How do you spend New Year’s Eve? The first half is with my family watching the New Year’s concert special on TV then I go out with my friends afterwards.
What do you typically eat on New Year’s Day? It’s always completely random.
Do you have a New Year’s Resolution for 2022? To get more songs placed in Film/TV, to open a string of shows for a huge touring artist and also to create some more music videos.
