Christmas Q&A With Seth Michael

What is your current single and/or album? She Got A Thing

What was a typical Thanksgiving meal look like for your family? Everyone in my family can cook really well so we all compete on who can make the best dish every year.

What were your Thanksgiving traditions when you were younger? Growing up, my family from all over the country would pick a place to meet and we would all fly in. Our family gatherings are massive, I have 4 aunts and uncles on my moms side and they have at least 3 kids each so me and all my cousins, and my older brother would hang out.

How has your Thanksgiving celebration changed since you have become an adult? All of the cousins have lives now and we don’t really have that big of gatherings anymore, unfortunately. But it is a treat when all of us can come together now a days because it’s so rare.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day memory? 2 years ago, me and my mom and dad went to visit my brother Jackson in Panama City where he lived. We spent family Thanksgiving unplanned and unprepared and had family dinner at subway! It was actually very fun and we had lots of laughs about it.

What are you most thankful for this year? I am most thankful for my family and friends who continue to support me in my adventure through life in Nashville.

Do you prefer artificial Christmas trees or real trees? Real! I love the smell.

When do you decorate your Christmas tree? Right after thanksgiving typically the next day so I can have it up for a long time.

What is your favorite Christmas song? What makes it your favorite? I’ll be home for Christmas. The Rascal Flatts version. It is the most beautiful Christmas song and I love the harmonies. It is also very fun to sing.

What is your go-to holiday drink? Eggnog.

What is your favorite Christmas present that you have ever received? A karaoke machine.

What were your Christmas traditions when you were younger? Getting up early in the morning and trying to beat my brother downstairs to the presents to see if they were there. We also had the cousins with us too.

How have your Christmas celebrations changed since becoming an adult? Well, I spent Christmas alone last year because I didn’t want to lose my job. Real life sucks! But luckily I will be able to spend two weeks with my family this year. All of my friends who left for the military are also coming back. I can’t wait for Christmas this year.

What is your favorite Christmas memory? Opening presents with my family and seeing everyone’s reactions.

How do you spend the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day? With my friends.

How do you spend New Year’s Eve? Nashville! It’s awesome.

What do you typically eat on New Year’s Day? Nothing in particular.

Do you have a New Year’s Resolution for 2022? Last year’s was to quit nicotine and I haven’t touched it since! This year’s resolution is to make my new album go multi-platinum.
