CMA FEST: Q&A With Lacy Wolfe

What is your name?

Lacy Wolfe

Where are you performing during CMA Fest?

June 10 at 4:30 pm at JWB Restaurant – Margaritaville Hotel.

When will you be doing meet and greets during CMA Fest?

I will be there all day Saturday, June 10.

What is your current album?

Working on a current album, but I have several recent releases.

What is your most recent single?

I am working on releasing a song called He Still Sees Me.

What is the story behind your current single?

It is a song I wrote for my husband. Despite all my flaws, he has never failed to see me and support me. Songwriting has always been my way of telling people how I feel, and I feel like that one tells our story well.

What is your favorite memory from a previous CMA Fest?

My favorite memory, from previous CMA Fest, would be playing Tootsie’s Lounge. I love seeing and meeting people, so next to that, I would have to say it was walking around at night, talking to people, and hearing all the bands.

Why is it important to you to be a part of CMA Fest?

Playing music anywhere is important to me, but it is amazing being back in Nashville. I have always had a burning passion for country music. I love the sound, the history, and most of all, the memories that it has given me. It is a great privilege to be a part of the CMA Fest Circle once again.

What made you want to start singing?

I started singing when I was little. Music is more than something I enjoy. When I didn’t have the words to say, I could write them and sing them. It has always been my way of expressing my emotions, and it has been instrumental in my life. See what I did there? Hahaha!!! It is more than just music to me or a claim to fame. Music has carried me.

Who are your musical influences?

Oh! There have been so many! Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Ashley McBryde, and so many others.

Who, other than musicians, inspired you to be a singer?

My husband is my biggest inspiration. So many times, I have wanted to give up, but he encourages me to keep going.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment of your music career so far?

There have been so many! I have been a part of Sunday Morning Country at the Ryman, sang on stage with Stella Parton, LuLu Roman, Gene Watson, Ferlon Husky, and so many others. My greatest, personal accomplishment would be Gold Cross Awards, from ICGMA, in Gospel Music. Album of the year was a huge honor that I will never forget.

How can people hear your music?

YouTube, Spotify, Pandora, and many other streaming platforms.

How can fans stay in touch with you after CMA Fest?

They can follow me on Facebook or Tiktok.

What are your music plans for the rest of the year?

I hope to book more dates and get back to traveling again. We will definitely be in the studio though.

Anything else you would like to add?

I would like to thank you, Rick, for all that you do for us. You do what you do with such a genuine concern for our careers. Thank you for that. I would also like to thank God for opening these doors again and for giving me family and friends that support me as well. With Him, I know all things are possible.
