Owen said the song is the first cover they have ever released. It’s one of the songs they have been playing live. She said they weren’t out and about and didn’t co-write during the pandemic. Owen said they have sent a copy of the song to Old Dominion and the band has given their blessing. The song has already become one of Hudson Valley’s most popular songs on Spotify with over 9,600 plays.

Owen said Hudson Valley has been compared to Lady A and her voice has been compared to other female country stars like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert.

If a person puts Hudson Valley in a search engine, there’s a good chance the first results will be for Hudson Valley in New York and not the bad. Owen said they have noticed more traction in Google searches as the band has gotten more and more traction. “We get so many new fans because of our name,” she said.

Hudson Valley has been playing a lot of writer rounds in Nashville at places such as The Listening Room. Owen said The Listening Room is a place to hear the stories behind the song. “It’s not rushed,” she said. “You get to hear the whole story.”

Hudson Valley also plays a lot of show on Nashville’s Lower Broadway. They playat Ole Red every Saturday night and also play at places like Whiskey Row and the Valentine.

Owen said they plan to release more music later this year.
