Jerry Lee Lewis Moved To Rehab After Feb. 28 Stroke

Jerry Lee Lewis was hospitalized after suffering a stroke two weeks ago. However, the 83-year-old music legend has recently been transferred to a rehabilitation center.

“Jerry Lee Lewis is expected to fully recover with aggressive and intensive rehab. From what I have seen thus far, he is heading in the right direction,” Dr. Rohini Bhole, Lewis’ neurologist, said.

Lewis has had to cancel some of his upcoming performances, including the New Orleans Jazz Festival on April 28, the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, Tenn. on May 18 and at The Birchmere in Alexandria, Va. on June 8. Lewis is expected to fully recover and he is looking forward to returning to performing and returning to the studio to work on his upcoming gospel CD.

Lewis appreciates all the prayers and well-wishes he has received from his fans around the world.
