When did you start singing? I started singing at a very young age. My grandfather was a Hawaiian singer so I was around music most of my life. Probably around 5 years old I started singing and dancing.

How would you describe your music? It’s definitely pop-country with a little bit of a bluesy vibe.

Who are your musical influences? I have so many lol… James Taylor is my number one for sure. To me, he is one of the best guitar players ever. His lyrics have told so many stories and touched me when I was young. Others include Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Sia, Van Morrison, Alabama and Brooks & Dunn.

What is your favorite concert you have attended?  5. What made it memorable? My mother got us incredible tickets to a James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt concert at the AT&T Stadium in San Francisco. It was unbelievable to finally see one of my idols so closely. It was everything and they both sang some of their old school jams.

What is your favorite place to perform? What do you like about it? I love playing at the Analog room… the acoustics are so vibrant.

Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer? My grandfather was/is will always be the biggest influence on my becoming a singer. I wouldn’t have my voice without him… My mother as well has been such a huge advocate for my career.

What was the first song you wrote? Oh my gosh lol… I can’t even remember.  I used to write a lot of poetry growing up.  JJournals and journals full of my thoughts and feelings,  but my first professional song was called “Always”.

What is your favorite original song? What was the inspiration behind it? “Stuck” is my favorite song so far… I wanted to use the word stuck in a positive light. The hook is, “If you were an island, I’d want to be stuck.”
