In just over a month, Carolyn Miller’s latest single has already been streamed more than 100,000 times. “All In” was written by Jamie Moore (“May We All”/Florida Georgia Line, “Chasin’ You”/Morgan Wallen), Emily Landis (“The Good Ones”/Gabby Barrett), and Abby Anderson.
The song has been featured on Radio Disney Country and was named song of the week last week. It was also featured on New York’s Country 94.7 (WNSH) and included in Spotify’s New Music Nashville editorial playlist.
Miller said it wasn’t hard to decide to release “All In” as a single. “I knew I wanted this to be my next release – I was super excited to share it finally,” she said. Miller said she prefers to release singles over albums. “I feel like it keeps content consistently rolling out as opposed to one major release and then not having music for quite a bit of time,” she said.
“I also find it keeps the fans engaged.”
“All In” has been described as a flirty, mid-tempo song infused with pop elements, pushing the boundaries of country music and creating a style that is uniquely Miller’s own. “Jumping into a new relationship can be scary, especially if you’ve been hurt in the past,” Miller said. “To me, this song represents the moment you take down your walls, ignore the ‘what ifs’, let go of your fears and jump in head first because the risk might just be worth the reward!”
Miller’s previous single was called “Ain’t About That” and it had over 130,000 streams. Her cover of “When You Say Nothing At All” was featured on Country Rebel has had over 425,000 views since Sept. 22.
During the pandemic, Miller said she did a lot of live-streaming. She performed over 75 live-stream concerts for radio stations, media outlets and music venues. She also had the opportunity to virtually host some events. “It has been fun to connect with fans all over the world via social media and various platforms,” Miller said. As some smaller venues have started to open, she said she has done a few acoustic shows, but she is looking forward to playing the big venues again.
When she is able to resume touring again, Miller expects to spend a lot of time in Nashville and on the run. She said she will likely do weekend runs with different artists and hopefully play a lot of festivals next summer.
Miller said she has been singing professionally since she was eight years old, but she has only been writing her own songs for two or three years. She said her family, friends and fans have supported and encouraged her every step of the way. Her influences include Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, and Faith Hill.
