People who are in town early for CMA Fest this year can have a unique experience while benefitting charity at the same time.
Chris Young will host “The 3rd Annual Th3 Legends Cast For a Cure Big Bass Tournament” on June 1. The event will be held at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, TN and will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation, the music industry’s leading foundation to fund innovative cancer research.
For the third year in a row, Chris will join legendary anglers and NBC Sports Outdoors’ Th3 Legends (Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin) for a big bass fishing tournament. The event will begin at 6 a.m. and there will be weigh-ins at 9 a.m. and noon. Since the event began, more than $64,000 has been raised. Fishing enthusiasts have come from around the country to participate in the event.
“My dad fought cancer and won,” Young said. . “I can’t think of any better way to give back to an organization that helps find cures for cancer than to spend the day sitting in a boat fishing with my old man.”
The Party in The Park event is free and open to the public and will kick-off at 10 a.m. and will include live music, silent auction, family-friendly activities, photo opportunities and more. Additional guests will be announced for the Party in The Park and Big Bass Tournament in the coming weeks.
