When did you start singing?I started singing in front of an audience when I was four years old.  My first performance was on stage in front of a few thousand of people at an acting, singing, and modeling competition called IPOP! in Hollywood, CA.  I sang “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid and even dressed the part.  I finished in the top 10 out of a couple of hundred kids in my age group that were from all over the United States, Canada, and the UK.

Who are your musical influences? My musical influences include Dollu Parton, Shania Twain and Miranda Lambert.

What is your favorite concert you have attended? What made it memorable? The best concert that I have attended so far would have to be Shania Twain’s.  I’ve actually been to see her twice.  I went with my mom, and my singing coach.  Shania Twain is an amazing performer and puts on a wonderful show.

What is your favorite place to perform? What do you like about it? My favorite place to perform is The Bluebird Café.  I love the atmosphere there.  Everyone in the room seems to be really connected to you and really listens to the lyrics of your songs.  I love it there.

Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer? I would have to say that my mom has probably been the person that has influenced my decision on becoming a singer.  Every since I was born, we have listened to music.  Whether in the car singing to Shania Twain over and over again, or jamming to Bon Jovi or Def Leppard, we have always listened to and sang music together.

What was the first song you ever wrote? The first song I ever wrote is titled “Don’t Know”.

What is your favorite original song? What was the inspiration behind it? My favorite song that I have written so far would have to be “Trying To Be Me”.  I co-wrote this song with Corey Lee Barker.  The inspiration behind this song is just to always try to stay true to who you are yourself, and not letting others try to change you.
