Legends Bar and Grill in Hamilton, Ohio was destroyed by a fire last August. It should re-open in another month. The Marathon Music Showcase/ Fundraiser for Legends Bar and Grill will be held on Sept. 15 at Froggy’s in Monroe, Ohio. The benefit will help will help Legends Bar and Grill restock so they can re-open. 2Morrow will be one of nearly 30 musical acts to perform.
When did you start singing? We both have been singing since we can remember. Music has always been important in the home. As for the 2Morrow, we put this together about three years ago.
How would you describe your music? Our music is a collection of old inspirations and present new school outlaw country, rock, and folk music sorts. Always bringing our own style to every song.
Who are your musical influences? Well we both have a pretty wide spectrum of influences, so I guess you could put it between The Head And The Heart to James Taylor, then a left turn at Matchbox 20 to KISS. As long as it’s well done, and you can feel it, it’s alright with us.
What is your favorite concert you have attended? Hahaa! Well we could go into that documentary, but we recently got to finally see our old friend James Taylor in Cincinnati. A bucket list show for us a both.
What made it memorable? My ol’ man (Bryan Morrow), Myself (Joshua Morrow), and my brother all grew up listening to James around the house. To finally get the chance to see him live all together meant the world to us. A moment we’ll never forget.
What is your favorite place to perform? What do you like about it? Any chance to get to play for people in Hamilton, Ohio who want to listen is going to be the truthful answer, but if we had to pick a stage and a crowd it would have to be our local spot Misery and Jens.
Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer?
(Joshua) Biggest influence to my vocal career would have to be my father (Bryan). I have always been content with just playing the guitar. Instrumental music has always been my main focus until starting 2Morrow.
For me (Bryan), my Uncle James Pack was my biggest influence. He along with my grandfathers taught me to play, appreciate music and pass it on to my children.
What was the first song you wrote? As for an original, we both have songs in the works, but have yet to put anything out for the people to hear.Anything else you would like to add? We’ve been a family of music, even the generations before us we’re players sharing their stories. A family of music, for music, and by music. It’s amazing to see what can happen when you share music with your family. I know when we all get together and the playing begins, we work things out beyond words. It’s an honor and a privilege to share our music with people who support local venues, and local music. It’s what keeps the music alive for the real people of the world.
Where can people hear your music? Anywhere from a patio near you, your favorite dive bar, or a warm campfire. If the vibe is right and the people are warm, we’ll get to pick’n just about anywhere.
