Legends Bar and Grill in Hamilton, Ohio was destroyed by a fire last August. It should re-open in another month. The Marathon Music Showcase/ Fundraiser for Legends Bar and Grill will be held on Sept. 15 at Froggy’s in Monroe, Ohio. The benefit will help will help Legends Bar and Grill restock so they can re-open. Cevin West will be one of nearly 30 musical acts to perform.
When did you start singing? I was about 8 or 9 years old when I first started singing.
How would you describe your music? Good Ole Traditional 90s country. With a little twist.
Who are your musical influences? My musical influences are Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Glen Campbell and Brooks and Dunn.
What is your favorite concert you have attended? Garth Brooks US Bank arena 2017
What made it memorable? His pure energy and love for what he does!
What is your favorite place to perform? I love the Barrel in Springboro. The venue allows you to be up close an have a personal connection with the people you are playing to.
Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer? My parents always played a big roll in me perusing my music career.
What was the first song you wrote? The first song I ever wrote was called “ Habits “ and I co-wrote the song with my brother-in-law.
What is your favorite original song? What was the inspiration behind it? “Habits “ will always be my favorite because it came out of nowhere and it was such a pure well written country song in my opinion.
