When did you start singing? I’ve sang like most people all my life, but only in public for this last year. I was invited to do an open mic and have been singing since.

How would you describe your music? Coffee shop country. Don Williams. George Strait. Clint Black as well as easy 70’s. The music I grew up listening with mom and dad.

Who are your musical influences?
Don Williams, John Denver, Don Moen, Phil Keagey.

What is your favorite concert you have attended?
Don Williams and Tammy Wynette.

What made it memorable? It was the only concert my father and I went to together. He didn’t like crowds but Don was his favorite.

What is your favorite place to perform? What do you like about it?
The Barrel in Springboro. Dawn was the first to give me a shot. It really is a great place to play. Atmosphere and crowd are wonderful.

Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer? My open mic family has been awesome in their support and encouragement. Chris Heider, Tony Peters, Marciea, and Nate just to mention a few.

What was the first song you wrote? I have just began to write my own songs so I don’t have any favorites yet. My first is called “just one touch” the moment I fell in love with my wife.

Anything else you would like to add? There really is a great local music scene here in Dayton. And I am impressed at how willing they are to share their talents especially in times of needs and benefits.
