Apparently Arizonians prefer Garth Brooks over basketball.
Brooks broke the ticket sales record at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona when 77,653 tickets were sold for his show last night. The record had been previously held by the Final Four basketball tournament, set April 1st 2017.
In addition, last night’s broke the record of tickets sold for any single night performance in the state of Arizona. Brooks is currently on a stadium tour. The concert at State Farm Stadium was the second stop on the tour. The tour’s first stop at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis on March 9, which also broke attendance records for that venue.
Brooks’ current tour was announced after he played the first-ever concert at Notre Dame Stadium last year. The show was televised on CBS.
