CMA Fest: Q & A With Ronnie Lowe

Where and when are you playing during CMA Music Fest? June 3 at Hooters, June 4 19 Miles @ Franklin First UMC, June 6 at 404 Bar and Grill, June 7 at 404 Bar and Grill.

When did you start singing? I started singing in 5th grade, well I guess I was singing in the children’s choir at church from even younger, but 5th grade is where I started singing duets and solos.

Who are your musical influences? My musical influences have a wide range from Willie Nelson to U2, Sheryl Crow, Luke Combs, and Lane Brody. There are so many that inspire me.

What is your favorite concert you have attended? What made it memorable? PFR/Newsboys 1996 Phoenix, AZ. This is when I decided “THAT’S WHAT I WANT TO DO!”

What is your favorite place to perform? What do you like about it?
I love performing anywhere, but my favorite is wherever friends and family (new and old) can gather and forget about what’s happening in their lives, our lives for a little while and just have fun!

Other than artists, who has been influential in your decision to become a singer? My mission in life is to be a Positive Impact on people’s lives. So I do it for me, and for the people that I can make that impact on, and hopefully they become lifelong friends of mine!

What was the first song you ever wrote? On a Hill- 1996. I came home from that concert in AZ, and picked up my moms old guitar. I learned from her Mel Bay guitar book Em, C, and G and started strumming (badly of course) until the song was finished.

What is your favorite original song? What was the inspiration behind it? I think Free2BMe is my favorite. I wrote it about Hope, a Polar Bear in St. Louis.

Where can people listen to your music before CMA Music Fest?
